Rev JoAnn Barrett is the Senior Officiant and founder of Gathering of Light Interpiritual Fellowship located in Melville/Dix Hills. Rev JoAnn is one of the founding Board members and current Chairperson of the Council of Interfaith Communities USA, CoChair of Interfaith Anti Bias Task Force of Suffolk County, a Member of Suffolk County Hate Crimes Task Force, a Member of Peace Island Institutes center of Interfaith Studies advisory board. A member of Religions For Peace Long Island (a local branch of a world-wide NGO at the United Nations) and a Member of the "Dignity for All Students Act" Committee which recently helped this bill pass in the state Senate. She is a member of the Huntington Clergy Association, Leadership Huntington Graduate, Class of 2003 and a teacher of A Course in Miracles since 1980. She founded a community service project, "Lightworks" including Starter Packs for homeless. She has been Pastoral Care Associate for North Shore, Syosset and Huntington Hospital and Clinical Director for a major LI substance abuse and addiction treatment center. She preforms personalized wedding ceremonies for couples and has created rituals for all life events for hundreds of people. She has made public spiritual presentations-including Stony Brook School of Social Welfare, and VA Medical Center. She is a published author and poet. She is married and has six grown children.

Music Minister Rev Annie Mark is an Ordained Interfaith Minister, (Class of 2000-The New Seminary), singer-songwriter, guitarist, harper, and recording artist.
Certified in Contemplative Musicianship from the Chalice of Repose Project, Rev. Annie is devoted to looking deeply into the nature of music and music’s potential healing properties.
As a song leader and Music Minister, Annie inspires heartfelt participation as a way for people to connect lovingly with each other and to tap into the spiritual power of music.
Annie is dedicated to singing love and assisting people in finding their “true voice” through music, song, sound, and silence.
Rev. Annie has been a music leader for Gathering of Light since 1999.

The Council of Trustees
President - Rev. Patricia O'Connor is the President of the Council of Trustees for the Gathering of Light Multifaith Spiritual Fellowship in Dix Hills, as well as an ordained Interfaith Minister and a Reiki Master Practitioner. She uses the power of prayer, beliefs, and positive thinking in all aspects of her life. Currently Rev. Patti is an active Board Member for the Long Island Reiki Connection, serving as the Recording Secretary. She also supports the not-for-profit, Sanctuary of Peace & Harmony, Inc in their actives too.
Patricia volunteers her time at the Gathering of Light, on the Starter Pack Mission (which delivers household items to people in shelters who are moving into a new home); is a facilitator of a 12 Step Spiritual program; coordinator of a quarterly Healing Service and co-chaired the committee for the past two years on a Wellness Expo for the Gathering of Light.
Patricia combines her Business Career as a Loan Officer with HSBC Bank since 1996 and her inspirational spiritual work, to inspire like minded people to enhance and enrich their personal lives.
Vice Pres - Dr. Ric Statler
Secretary - Louella Murphy - Louella Murphy, NCAC, MSW, CADC. Worked as counselor at Catholic Charities for twenty five years. Consultant for Suffolk County Probation Dept., Passages Counseling center, and North Suffolk Mental Health center. She served on both state and national boards of counselor's associations before her retirement. She has also taught counseling courses at Molloy College for fifteen years. She has served on the Gathering of Light Council for the past six years including the position of President.
Treasurer - Margaret Hautman - is the Treasurer for the Gathering of Light Multifaith Spiritual Fellowship In Dix Hills. Margaret has also served as Treasurer for the Order of Sons of Italy, The Marco Polo Lodge #2214 located in Levittown, New York. Margaret dedicates her daily life to helping others in good and bad times. She is looking to nourish her life by following a spiritual path. Margaret has been employed at the same company in Port Washington for 34 plus years. She has one daughter, three Shih-Tzu’s and assists in the care of her elderly parents in Plainview.
Advisory Trustee - Artie Venti Esq. As a teenager, Artie attended the very first Gathering of Light Multifaith Spiritual Fellowship (GOL) service and has been a part of the GOL family ever since. He served on the Council of Trustees as a Treasurer and then as Vice President. Artie is an active attorney admitted to practice in the State of New York. He studied International Human Rights law in India where he had a private audience with the Dali Lama. He completed his clinical legal education by representing Tibetan refugees in their application for asylum in the United States. Artie is presently serving as an Advisory Trustee, offering counsel and an objective legal perspective to the Council of Trustees and its decisions in promoting the GOL mission.
