We believe in the power of prayer because we continually see it changes people and circumstances for the better.
Prayer is powerful--in heartfelt petition, free-form praise, and devout thanksgiving...always uplifting, calming...for oneself or on behalf of others, it's pretty remarkable to see our Prayer Warriors in action!
There are also several powerful energy workers in our spiritual community who share their talents on designated days.
Gathering of Light offers several ways to come together in prayer or mutual energy uplifting connection. Curious? Don't be shy...we'd love to welcome you at whatever level you feel comfortable.
Prayer Chain
When people come together to pray by request, beseeching on behalf of someone else for: healing, relief from fear, better outcomes, and the serenity to accept the Divine Will...well, that is nearly as powerful for those who pray as it is for the ones they pray for. We know. Givers and Receivers, joined by a bridge made of compassionate love.

Prayer Stars
After every Saturday Worship Service, special greeting cards shaped like stars are provided for sympathetic congregants and guests who wish to write a few words of inspiration and cheer for someone who needs a healing and loving message, be it a fellow member, stranger, or friend of a friend.
These Prayer Stars are then mailed or hand-delivered to the happily astonished person of care.

Goddess Rosary Prayers
Every Monday evening from 6:30-7 pm, interested members and guests join on Zoom to pray together to the Goddess Mother Spirit as portrayed through many faith traditions. These are beautiful, in the moment connections to the feminine aspect of the Divine.

Water Blessings
Our prayer ministry embraces the traditional Native American teaching that water has a sentient nature. Water is sacred. Water is life.
Every month, over the course of several days, dedicated members and friends pray with deep loving intention over vessels and glass containers of water, imbuing this liquid nature with positive healing words and belief that these prayers will matter....and there is scientific research that lends certain credence for elements and living things measurably responding to such faithful efforts.
This love-charged water is kept by sunlight until it is taken to Long Island's many ponds, streams and rivers and joined with these flowing waters. Come be a part of this quiet, simple ministry, and pour your love out on the waters.
Energy Circle & Healing Service
Gathering of Light is fortunate to have many energy workers in our spiritual community who give freely of their expertise.
At 7 pm on the first Tuesday of each month, you are invited to take part in our Energy Circle of meditation and healing, held live at our Fellowship Hall and on Zoom.
Every few months, we dedicate time at a Saturday Service for our dedicated energy workers to work one-to-one with members who would like to experience this remarkable form of spiritual contact.
Sacred Chanting
Chanting, as handed down from the Buddhist spiritual practice, is another beautiful way to get energy flowing through ourselves and each other!
At 7 am every Tuesday morning, come join the joyful sound we make on Zoom, as the sounds invariably become harmonized! What a fantastic way to start your day!
